Egypt has announced itself to the world as a genuine global powerhouse in hospitality not through government promotion or marketing campaigns, but through the voices of the guests who visited, stayed, and came back wanting more.
Coral Travel Group unveiled the winners of its prestigious Starway World Best Hotels awards, with Egyptian properties securing a commanding presence on the international stage. According to the latest customer satisfaction surveys, 14 hotels in Egypt successfully broke into the list of the top 100 hotels globally, while the country secured the number one rank worldwide in the Adults-Only Hotels category. This was not a narrow or convenient victory. The rankings followed an exhaustive analysis of 6,611 hotels across 25 global destinations making Egypt's performance all the more remarkable in its breadth and consistency.
What makes these rankings particularly significant is their methodology. The Starway rankings are highly regarded in the industry because they are based exclusively on verified guest reviews and authentic stay experiences. There are no paid placements, no industry panels, and no commercial relationships distorting the results. Egypt's performance is the pure verdict of paying guests who booked, arrived, and judged. That verdict was emphatic.
Egyptian hotels claimed four of the top ten spots in the worldwide rankings: Rixos Premium Magawish came in at 4th place globally, Pickalbatros White Beach at 6th, Jaz Elite Amara at 7th, and Sunrise Grand Select Diamond Beach Resort at 10th. Four of the world's ten best hotels, judged entirely by guests a result that demands the attention of every global hospitality executive and every traveller planning their next holiday.

Family tourism is equally well represented. In the Family Resorts category, Pickalbatros White Beach secured second place globally. Other Egyptian family favourites recognised for excellence included Jaz Aquaviva, Pickalbatros Alf Leila Wa Leila – Neverland Hurghada, Rixos Premium Seagate, and Xanadu Makadi Bay. The breadth of recognition spanning adult resorts, family holidays and eco-friendly operations reflects a hospitality industry that has matured and diversified across every segment of the market.
Sustainability is no longer a niche concern in hospitality it is increasingly a purchase criterion for the global travelling public. Environmental and operational sustainability awards went to Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh Golden View Beach Resort, Rixos Sharm El Sheikh, and Steigenberger Alcazar for their green initiatives, confirming that Egypt's top hotels are not merely competing on luxury and service but on responsibility and long-term thinking.
The full list of Egyptian properties featured in the world's top 100 includes an impressive spread of names: Jaz Solaya, Nubian Village, Pickalbatros Aqua Blue Resort, Rixos Sharm El Sheikh, Steigenberger Alcazar, Steigenberger Ras Soma, Sunrise Remal Resort, Titanic Royal, White Hills, and Xanadu Makadi Bay. Concentrated across Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam Egypt's three great Red Sea resort clusters their presence in the global rankings confirms that these destinations are no longer competing on price alone but on genuine world-class quality.
Coral Travel's own data underscores the commercial momentum behind these rankings. The group has operated in Egypt for over 25 years with a network of 500 contracted hotels. In 2025, it brought 850,000 tourists to Egypt from 15 source markets. Looking ahead to 2026, the group aims to reach one million tourists, supported by the opening of new operational offices in Marsa Alam and Alamein to drive sustainable regional growth. TUI Group's separate top 100 hotels list similarly noted that Egypt delivered a remarkably strong showing in 2026, with properties in Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh praised for genuine hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
This widespread recognition confirms that Egypt has evolved far beyond being merely a high-volume destination. It is now a top-tier global competitor in service excellence and guest satisfaction a country whose hotels are not just affordable alternatives to the Maldives or Mauritius, but legitimate world-class destinations in their own right. For a country that has spent decades battling safety perceptions and security narratives, these rankings represent something more powerful than any advertising campaign
